One more reason to homeschool

As if we didn't have enough reasons already... how about the blind-eye turned to sexual predators within our public school system?

When I was in high school we had a convicted rapist as one of our classmates. That was disconcerting enough, let me tell you, but teachers? Counselors? Principals? Apparently some of them took that "Pal in Principal" a little too far:
An Associated Press investigation found more than 2,500 cases over five years in which educators were punished for actions from bizarre to sadistic.

And right on the tail of that story comes another:

  1. I've noticed that the things that make me glad we're homeschool do not usually have to do with the quality of education. Just add this to the list.

  2. Hi sara

this is exciting (as well as challenging) I lived in Switzerland briefly growing up (near Montreux) and LOVED it. I was convinced that I would move there as soon as I was able. Things have not worked out like that but still I have fond memories.

For the past few years one of my herbal students is Swiss (a young woman just moved here a few years ago) I am sure that if you wanted someone to talk to she would be willing.

    Many blessings, tony(a)

you know, it's out on the streets too that makes me often thank God we are homeschooling, but this sort of thing!!! what is the world coming to!?!?!
i only mean in terms of what we are accepting of these days. other than that, of course the world is full of beautiful people and mentors for our children - it's just a pain we have to use the screening process so much!
